When creating the horror film, roles ere assigned to individuals within the group

These were the key areas in which we had to focus on. I was in charge of the Mis En Scene department. This will involve locating props which would be natural and  unnatural to the scene  e.g. books & tables and chairs and fake blood.  I had to locate these items and use them for the film which I know is going to be a challenge but I am looking forward to fulfilling my role as the costume and props designer. by introducing my own ideas within the construction of make up and costumes I am able to assist with the creation of the film  the film and how the atmosphere changes due to the use of props which help to set the scene.

Introduction to A2 Media Studies

My name is Jordan Reid and I am 17 years old. I think that Media studies is a really interesting subject because of the different types of conventions which are embedded within the subject these include. "Sound, Mis En Scene and Camera Shots and Angles.

 This year I will have to create and edit a short horror film which I am very excited to take part in. This is because it will allow me to  enhance my skills within the four main elements which I have gathered within AS media studies. These are , Sound, Mis En Scene Camera Shots and Angles . I am also very excited because I will be able to look into how films are created and what effect that they have on their chosen audiences.  Within A2 Media Studies,  the grade is split into two sections worth 50% each. The first section(Section A ), focuses on a detailed diary of the construction and research of creating the short horror film. The second section (Section B) is an examination, which allows an participant to evaluate their media skill, throughout AS and A2



As part of this project there are three tasks which I am going to do.

I am going to produce a short horror film which is aimed to fellow students (My target audiences audience) , I will also produce a poster to advertise my film and engage my audience. Once I have gathered feedback from my audiences I will used my feedback to evaluate my production as part of my final review. 

I think the review element will be really important for me to get right . I will want a lot of critical responses as from my target audience. This will allow me to gain feedback which I will use to evaluate and improve my tasks even further.
