Research: Horror Film Findings
These are the three main films which i looked at to look at the structure and also the props which was natural to the scene.
By analysing these films i can find different techniques which i could use for my own film. I do believe this is beneficial to me to find props which will be natural to the scene. and also highlight key areas which could be adopted into our film
Firstly this is Paranormal activity "The Marked Ones" which was released in 2014. it is also set in Mexico and is back on a young man who has a next door neighbour who hosts devil worships.
This film challenges the representations of traditional horror film due to the use of scenes there are not really scary scenes within the start of the film which helps illustrate to the directors audience the genre of the film. however as you progress into the film it is more apparent that the film is horror based initially used to scare its audience.
there as also different specs of this film which helps the director create a greater effect within there scenes.
1) Use of Dialogue
2) Use of camera angles
3) use of editing techniques
Rec 3 Genesis
This film is a sequel of a zombie apocalypse directed by Paco Plaza released in 2014 also . This film entails a happy couple getting married within a church location however, at the reception party there was suddenly a problem, somehow a guest conducted a virus which caused them to act unnaturally and began infecting other guests through its virus bite, this made the disease to spread, the married couple had prepare themselves for the zombie apocalypse which watch coming by equipping themselves with any weapon they could find which aided them to up rise against the apocalypse . When looking at this film I realised that this film actually uses different features which help fit the representations of horror film of (Scary, adrenaline pumping, Heart wrenching)
1) Use of props - "Chainsaws, swords, Blood" these are elements of tis horror film which helps the film become more realistic, fake blood is used within the make up stage which helps simulate someone being murdered, this helps scare the audiences by the graphic view of blood
2) Use of camera shots - " close up shot of the bride on top of the zombie and using the chainsaw to split its head in half" also the blood is flicking onto her it shows the representation on gore which is usually seen within horror films with the use of
3) Sound - "screams from the guests, sound of weapons penetrating the zombies and also the sound of the zombie bite as they infect victims". This illustrates the use of contrapuntal sound (exaggerated) and also diegetic sound illustrated which is natural to specific scenes, e.g. Wedding bells ringing in the church and also screams from the guests which are natural to the scene because the zombie apocalypse will cause confusion and panic which is expected.
Finally "Ouija" film which was release in 2014. This film highlights a girl who finds a "Ouija Broad" and begins to use it however, she then finds out that the Ouija broad is real and the ghost controlling the broad is controlling every move she is making. This is a

Research:Editiing within horror films ( look at real editing techniques)
Being new to Adobe Premiere Pro CC meant that I had to research different examples and guides which will support my group with the editing process of the film. This film produced by "Terry White" helped me and the rest of the group by showing us how we could edit sound into our films, Producing editing effects into our films and also cutting our movie effectively.
This also showed me techniques which famous producers use in order to edit their films.
The use of these tutorials really did help us to focus on how the cuts were going to be put together and also change the sound to create a feeling of suspense . Also props were important because in premier pro you were able to edit the picture of the object and also the setting which helped give a greater impact towards the audiences
