Final Ominous film

This is the final Ominous Horror film , we needed to make changes to make sure that the film was better for the viewing audience.

When looking into the film audience feedback it was clear that there were areas for improvement the audiences these included

 Overall Problems
- The structure of the film and how the scenes appeared to jump which effected the natural flow of the film.
- Lacks use of key shots for effect
- unnecessary dialogue
-  lacks uses of sounds

These were all areas within the film which my group needed to improve.
As a group we needed to change the layout of the film e.g. editing, the film needed to contain more scenes which contained a diverse range of camera shots.

How was it improved
We had to sit down and find ways in which we could improve the film . One of the many solutions which we as a group came up with was to focus on the editing and remove the technical errors so there was a better transition between the different scenes, Also  we thought by  add more contrapuntal sounds and diagetic sounds it will help create a feeling of suspense. The props which were used within the film also needed to be edited by myself to make sure they all were natural to the scene and to make sure that the props were relevant and could create the impact on the audience for example ( the use of fake blood. this was used when the camera did a close up shot on "Kyle and Rory" showing and implied attack. This meant that all 4 areas were able to be improved by working together and focusing on our specific roles.

What effects did the improvement have on the film
When we had  finished editing all of the different elements to our film we noticed a dramatic improvement such as
- Film ran more smoothly
- Wider range of  camera angles created more suspense
the stating sequence had more of an impact
-the adding of scenes aided us to choose from a range of  which looked most effective and had the better impact on the film as a whole
-the props were placed in the right position, Fake blood used effectively to recreate murder

Overall I do believe that we have all struggled when creating this film however by working as a team in out four chosen areas of , Camera, Sound, Editing, and Props and make up (Mis En Scene) it has allowed us to create a better and more effective short  horror film.
